Christmas 2016
First Christmas in Krosaing Pnov (ក្រសាំងភ្នៅ) village, Pursat province. It was very hard to get to this remote village in raining season, only tractor can conquered this muddy path. Koan Klaeng (កូនខ្លែង) village, also first Christmas, this congregation does not have place to worship yet, thus, they used the blue net as mat. After the service they joined in circle to pray for a worship place. Banon (បាណន់ )village, 40-50 adults and children regularly have their worship service underneath the house.…
2016 Mission Trip
The very first CPR/Choking class for our brothers and sisters ( L-R Alan, Poe,Molly and Rachel ), with laminated hand outs. Over300 people attended. Everyone was very eager for their turn for hands on practice Reading glasses and CPR/Choking instructions were given to local school teachers Vanna is getting ready to distribute medicines and toys 60 first aids kits for pastors and leaders The Phnom Penh based Dental mission team fixed, filled, extracted, cleaned… 385 patients while the Singapore Medical team (2 MDs & 1 RN ) saw 670 patients in five days period. Hope for Cambodia Board Member Poe Ouklore speaks on a missions panel at Mission Viejo Christian Church – Mission Viejo Christian Church, located in South Orange County California, is a church that strives to be a place where people can really call home, where they can feel the love of others, and most importantly the love of Christ. They also have a strong heart for missions. Once a year the church has a Mission Sunday that showcases the many organizations supported in their missions budget. A message from Chris McKinney on his trip to Cambodia equipping local church leaders on the DCPI Church Planting Essentials God Showed Up As the pastor rose to greet the crowd, Christopher LaPel leaned over and whispered into my ear, “This pastor was a Khmer Rouge commander.” The pastor spoke, and several men in attendance stood and were recognized with applause. “That was the mayor of this village, and the man before him was the mayor of the town to which this village belongs. They both used to report to the pastor when they were in the Khmer Rouge. The pastor had invited his former comrades to today’s building dedication service, and he’s thanking those who are here.” From what Christopher told me, many Christian ministries in Cambodia are not comfortable working with people who were formerly members of the Khmer Rouge.
